Nonprofits usually do not want to send fundraising texts to constituents who recently donated (e.g. donated in the last 3, 7, 14, 30, etc. days). If you're using a donation platform that is integrated with Tatango, you can exclude recent online donors from your fundraising texts. Here's a short video on how to exclude recent online donors using Tatango's segmentation.
β
(See the list of donation platforms that integrate with Tatango further below.)
If your donation platform is integrated with Tatango, add this segmentation within Tatango to exclude recent online donors:
βDonation Last Date is not within the last __ days
--or--
Is Donor is False
β
Why these two fields?
Donation Last Date is not within the last __ days - This field will exclude anyone who has donated via your integrated donation platform within the last __ days. However, the "Donation Last Date" field is only looking at people who've made a donation via your integrated donation platform since you setup that integration with Tatango. Unless Tatango imports your donors' entire donation history, you'll need to add another field to the segmentation to target those who gave before you setup the integration and/or target non donors.
βIs Donor is False - The "Is Donor" field also only looks at those who have donated via your donation platform integration since you integrated it with Tatango. By adding "Is Donor is False," you're also targeting constituents who either have not donated via your integrated donation platform since you set up the integration and or have never donated.
