However, certain scenarios might necessitate allowing these phone numbers to go through the opt-in process again, even if they are already subscribed. This can be useful in re-engaging subscribers or confirming their continued interest in receiving messages.
Access System Responses:
Navigate to List Settings: Go to the list you wish to modify, select 'Settings', and then choose 'System Responses'.
Review Current Already Subscribed Message:
Understand the Default Already Subscribed Response: This message is automatically sent when someone who is already subscribed tries to resubscribe. The default is typically "You are already subscribed to this list.
Adjust Settings for Resubscribers:
Go to General Settings: Find the "Resubscribers" section which includes three configurable settings:
Send an 'Already Subscribed' Message: Keeps the default response active.
Repeat the Opt-In Process: Allows current subscribers to go through the opt-in process again.
Single Opt-In: If enabled, subscribers can simply text the keyword to your short code and receive the opt-in confirmation message again.
Double Opt-In: Requires subscribers to text the keyword and then confirm opt-in through the established process.
Do Nothing: No action is taken when a subscriber tries to resubscribe.
Choose Your Preferred Setting:
Select the Appropriate Option: Choose the setting that best suits your campaign strategy.
Save Your Changes:
Ensure to click 'Save Changes' to apply your new settings.
