Set your system responses for a specific text message marketing list. Learn more about this SMS marketing feature from Tatango.

Instructions

  1. Select the list you wish to create a keyword for by clicking the Manage button from your list on the dashboard.

  2. Click the Settings icon in the list navigation bar in the top right hand corner of your list home screen, then click on System Responses.

  3. Enter your desired system responses in the fields designated for each type of system response.

  4. Click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the screen.

System Response Message Types

Help Response : This is the message that is sent back to subscribers when they respond to any of your messages with the following English or French words...

  • HELP

  • INFO

  • AIDE

Below you'll find the required pieces of information that must be in your Help Response message.

  • Organization Name (McDoggal for Mayor)

  • Stop Instructions (Text STOP to end)

  • Message & Data Rates May Apply (Msg&data rates may apply)

  • Support Toll-Free Number or Website (For more help, call 1-800-123-5678)

McDoggal for Mayor: Text STOP to end. Msg&data rates may apply. For more help, call 1-800-123-5678 or email info@mcdoggalformayor.com

REPLY Response: This is the message that is sent back to subscribers when they respond to a scheduled message that you send them. The CTIA doesn't have any requirements for this message, but we recommend something similar to the following.

McDoggal for Mayor: We've received your response.

STOP Response: This is the message that is sent back to subscribers when they respond to any of your messages with the following English, French or Spanish words...

  • STOP (ST0P)

  • END

  • CANCEL

  • UNSUBSCRIBE

  • QUIT

  • REMOVE

  • ARRET

  • ALTO

Don't worry, we automatically unsubscribe them from your list when they do this. Below you'll find the required pieces of information that must be in your STOP Response message.

  • Organziation Name (McDoggal for Mayor)

  • Confirmation (You've opted-out, and will receive no further messages.)

McDoggal for Mayor: You've opted-out and will receive no further messages.

Already Subscribed: This is the message that is sent back to subscribers when they are already subscribed to your list, but for some reason try and subscribe again. This isn't the Opt-In Message, nor is the Send Time Opt-In Message, as those messages are sent to customers that were either never subscribed, or had unsubscribed, and now are re-subscribing. The CTIA doesn't have any requirements for this message, but we recommend something similar to the following.

McDoggal for Mayor: You're already subscribed to this list.

API Opt-In Confirmation Request: Sent to someone being added through the API. Person must respond with one of the following commands to subscribe to a list.

  • YES

  • Y

  • OUI

  • O

Search Keywords: your response has been received,
