Identifying Test Messages

Use this setting to add a "Test" identifier to test messages

A best practice in creating your broadcast messages is to send test messages to ensure they deliver as expected. However, test messages come across exactly the same as actual messages, which can make it difficult for senders to differentiate which texts they receive are the "real ones" vs. the tests. This is especially the case for recipients that aren't the ones pressing the Send or Send Test buttons.

Tatango has now enabled the ability to identify test messages with "Test - TIMESTAMP". When enabled, this is how test texts will be delivered:

To enable this functionality, follow these instructions:

  • Go to My Account > Admin Console

  • On the Admin Console page, click "General Settings" in the upper right

  • Check the box and Save Changes.
